Cabot Circus
Cabot Circus is a new shopping centre development in Bristol in which SH Structures received the contract to design and install all suspended roof structures. There were in total 12 independant roofs with complex geometry, curving in all directionl axis. MAL Ltd were involved in setting out and surveying node positions in all three dimensions to ensure every part of the steel structure would be in the correct plane and curvature. Node points were also monitored after loading to ensure structural calculations were met.
Swiss Re
The Swiss Re was built for this leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer. Mal Ltd set the temporary steelwork in 3D before the main steel was positioned pre-weld, and fully welded for the glazing to be fitted.
Hackney CSC
Westfield London
As part of the Westfield London development, Mal Ltd were contracted to help set positions for 2 of the glazed roofs that follow the full length of shopping centre. This was a particularly difficult process due to the nature of the sloping roofs in a numerous dircetions, meaning that each individual node had to be set in 3D.
Hackney CSC is part of the Access, Assessment and Family Support Service. The First Response Team is the team professionals and members of the public contact if there are concerns about children’s welfare that may require a statutory social work response. Mal Ltd were involved the the setting out of this highly technical roof which connceted to the front facade glazing.
