At all stages of a project, MAL Ltd can provide survey controls - from the initial traverse establishing the building grid system (we are able to establish control stations to either the Ordnance Survey national grid or develop a “best fit” grid reference to site conditions), through to providing gridlines and datums to all levels of construction, such as plumbing and verticality transfers, aligning steel structures and datum transfers.

As-built surveys of existing structures are produced with a computerised report which is useful when determining interfaces for renovation projects, damaged buildings or QA purposes. Precursor to new works being carried-out on existing engineering sites or equipment, these surveys are designed to consolidate the design, minimise delays during fabrication and construction, ensure proper fit on site.
Monitoring movement in structures is a completely different exercise than conventional surveying as nothing here can be accepted as stable until proven.
Our monitoring work is carried-out using precise survey equipment (Electronic Total Station) as well as permanent survey stations installed in ground and checked each time to ensure their stability and to maximise the precision of the results.
MAL Ltd use the most up to date software to provide our clients with the best and most detailed information required from data capture collection. We work closely with Leica software products in conjunction with their instrumental hardware to maximise the output from the onsite survey work we complete. This enables us to provide highly accurate and detailed survey results in many different forms dependant on the clients needs.
