The assistant surveyors role is to assist their senior team member in the required work activities. The assistant should try to gain as much knowledge and experience from others around them in order to show the ability and ambition to progress to the next level. Applicants must have a good knowledge and understanding of construction methods and also have the relevant CSCS qualifications to work onsite.
Assistant Surveyor
A junior surveyor would be able to perform basic as-built surveys and set out procedures and basic datum level surveys and transfers, under the instruction of a senior team member. In addition some CAD experience or knowledge would be expected to be learnt by this stage. Applicants must have completed a relevent college level course and have 1 to 2 years experience. Training will be provided onsite and off in order to improve level of expertise and continue to progress to the next level.
Junior Surveyor
A Surveyor would be able to perform all tasks of a junior surveyor at a more advanced level and in addition be able to establish survey control at base level and throughout a building. The surveyor should be able to communicate with the client in order to meet the required end goal with only guidence from a senior team member. The surveyor should be able to produce CAD drawings to be passed to a client for anaylsis and be able to establish information needed from client drawings provided. Applicants should have a relevant degree level course and have 3-4 years experience and show accuracy and reliabilty on a project.
Surveyor
A Senior Surveyor would be able to perform all tasks of a surveyor at a more advanced level and in addition run projects with a number of teams and with different clients at the same time. The senior surveyor should be able communicate with clients at all levels and be able to determie how to overcome and issues onsite along with offering assistance to the client in determining the best way to deliver a project. They should be able to help provide other skill sets with off site work and help produce specidications and other relevant skills to help enhance the companies reputation. Applicants should have a relevant degree level course and have 5+ years experience and show a high level of accuracy, reliabilty and initiative in all aspects of work and general management skills.
