Surveying & 3D Scanning
Laser scanning is the exceptionally versatile new solution for accurately capturing large sets of coordinates on various projects such as bridges, tunnels, buildings, roads, plant facilities and offshore oil and gas platforms. With a full horizontal and vertical field-of-view (360x270), the survey instrument scans over a selected area in a very short time (up to 5000 points per second) and produce a highly detailed net of three dimensional points which can be used by itself to provide an immediate 3D visualisation. Post processing can also produce conventional survey formats in term of plans, elevations, sections and profile drawings.
The introduction of 3D Scanning Technology has enormously enhanced the service that MAL Ltd can provide, greatly improving the effectiveness and quality of output. MAL Ltd can now use the most up to date electronic, optical surveying and measuring equipment in a newly developed division in the field of 3D laser scanning. We now have the resources to undertake projects of almost any scale, from small projects lasting only a few days to large, high profile construction works lasting months or years.
