Surveying & 3D Scanning
MAL Ltd performs building surveys for a variety of purposes such as for determining floor areas for estate agents or internal / external dimensions for new interfaces or modernisations. All work is carried out using the Code of Measuring Practice / RICS code of practice, where surveys MAL Ltd have completed include offices buildings, bridges, shopping and leisure centres etc. MAL Ltd also provide Quality Assurance (QA) services that can be carried out once the structural system has been installed. This ensures that all works have been installed to the correct tolerances and specifications.
As-built surveys of existing structures are produced with a computerised report which is useful when determining interfaces for renovation projects, damaged buildings or QA purposes. Precursor to new works being carried-out on existing engineering sites or equipment, these surveys are designed to consolidate the design, minimise delays during fabrication and construction, ensure proper fit on site. Using the latest reflector less total stations, building surveys can be carried-out causing minimum disruption in occupied buildings and previously inaccessible areas. Survey data are recorded using modern leica total station instruments and survey drawings are issued as AutoCAD drawing.
